Klee Kai eye colors are simply breathtaking. You can almost get lost in their beauty and variety. They present in a plentiful assortment, but they are all incredible combinations.

Along with their absolutely beautiful coats, Alaskan Klee Kai have numerous variations within their eye colors that make them astonishingly stunning dogs. Today we’ll discuss the different eye colors that Alaskan Klee Kai might have, as well as some things that, as the owner or potential owner of one of these unique dogs, you may want to be aware of.

One eye color among Alaskan Klee Kai is brown, and their brown eyes — from pale brown or almost golden or tawny to rich, deep dark brown — really stand out against their different colors of coats and the colors of their masks. They can one moment invoke a playful, happy energy and in the next a soulfulness that is extraordinary to behold.

Blue-eyed Alaskan Klee Kai dogs have beautiful, vibrant blue eyes that, when Game of Thrones was at the height of its popularity, drew comparisons to the White Walkers. They generally become a paler blue as puppies grow into adults. That’s about the only comparison you can make between those beings and these happy, loving animals, however. People often notice the stark contrast between the coats and the eyes of Alaskan Klee Kai who possess these deep, dark blue eyes.

Some Alaskan Klee Kai actually have one eye of one color and the other of another, called bi eyes. Furthermore, some have parti-eye, which is when they have two colors in the same eye. And finally, some red and white Alaskan Klee Kai can even sport amber or green eyes, which not only presents a stunning contrast but may even look somewhat festive!

Concerns With Eyes of Alaskan Klee Kai

Alaskan Klee Kai are generally healthy dogs but, like any dog breed, they may come with some health problems. One of these potential concerns is Juvenile cataracts, which develop when an eye loses the transparency of its lens. While this can be an issue to be concerned about, especially if you start seeing regular clouding or if your dog is giving you any other indications that their vision is being compromised, the Alaskan Klee Kai Association of America states on their website that it isn’t an issue that Klee Kai breeders see very often.

Juvenile cataracts may present as the result of an eye injury, poor nutrition or diabetes mellitus. As always, if you notice anything concerning about your Alaskan Klee Kai, it’s time for a visit to the vet to have it checked out. It’s always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to your pup’s health, and since they can’t communicate to us what is going on all the time, it is essential that their owners keep a sharp eye out for anything that might be amiss.

To Wrap Up

Alaskan Klee Kai have coats in a variety of beautiful colors as well as eyes that can be as varied and interesting as their temperaments. While brown and blue are the most common eye colors, green and amber also present at times. They can also have two different colored eyes (bi eyes) or even two different colors within one eye (parti eyes).

Whatever the eye color your Alaskan Klee Kai possesses, these beautiful dogs are wonderful and amazing creatures through and through, and their sharply interesting eyes, masks and gorgeous coats are just a few of the great attributes of this extraordinary breed.
